Here are what some of our players have to say:

Event- 22/05/16
Hi,
I thought I'd say a few words about the event that was run at Darken Vale last Sunday. I want to say that it was overall a very well balanced and enjoyable day!
There were character- specific plots (Garthank and the orc tribe), subplots and minor stories to keep players occupied (dwarf mines and the earthquakes), & major themes that drew on the overarching plot journey (Meritheka's rescue and the demon rampage.)
Overall, there was plenty to do that was organised by the elders throughoutday, but there was also some wonderfully immersive and intense roleplay constructed by the players themselves.
It was wonderful to see and be a part of. I feel that the group is blossoming and growing comfortable and more confident in the roleplaying aspect of LARP.
I think having a photographer there that day might have sharpened everyones 'performances', perhaps. We all wanted to show off what we can do! That aside, I firmly feel that the quality of experiance at the events has grown and become richer in the twelve months since Darken Vale began because, well, the players and the Elders have all got better at what they do!
For me, this was one of the best events that I've attended. Well done to Simon, Mel & the elders for creating the stage, and well done to everyone that played or NPC'd for making the play experience as good as it was.
Thank you all.

I just want to praise the Elders for an amazing event. From start to finish I was immersed on their world...which is slowly becoming mine....((Elder note: She hopes))

I felt nervous at first, but when I got to know and understand what was going on, I picked it up pretty quick, started to feel more at ease with everything and felt like I'd come out of my shell a lot! Everyone welcomed me and made me feel comfortable in and out of character. It's really nice to just be a part of it all and I've already started telling some of my friends about it and what the site is called and stuff. So glad I came along.

Event 28/02/16
So I decided to go try a new Larp system today with Robert unfortunate for ourselves as we didn't sign up in time we ended up NPCing the event being my first time being an NPC I was handed an ork mask, loot and chain mail swiftly followed by my brief, 10 minutes later I was chasing terrified players though the undergrowth.
Later on we where grabbed to come into play as little demons heralded by a smoke grenade and beating seven bells out of the highest level players in the system which was a nice changed from players legging it away from my accent changing ork ever 5 minutes.
Finally the head ref took me to one side gave me a sack of coin and told me to go in and try to gamble it all away, needless to say I tried my best to channel Phil Lloyd's rougeish charm and lost all my money and then got jobbed when the bount hunter arrived for me.
All in all Darkenvale is a rather fun little system, it was my first time larping with a wide age range (9 years old and up) but it's nice to see something new and unique, travel permitting I do see myself returning and having a lot of fun.
